What are two degree of freedom system ?

Freedom system         System which require two independent co-ordinate to specify their position during motion are called two degrees of freedom systems. A two degree of freedom system, can be considered as a special case of a multidegree of freedom system. As a general rule, number of degrees of freedom equal to the number of discrete masses of the system. However, this is not always true.                   Principal modes of vibration         The principal modes of vibration refer to the specific patterns or shapes assumed by vibrating objects. These modes represent distinct ways in which an object can oscillate or resonate. The study of these modes is essential in fields such as physics and engineering to understand the behavior of structures and materials under different vibrational conditions.   In general rule, a two degrees of freedom system should have two natural freq...

What is Noise?

Noise        When a part of atmosphere is compressed suddenly, a sound is produced. These sound waves travels through the air. When sound waves are non-periodic, irregular and of short duration, they produce a displeasing effect and such a sound is known as noise.                     The wavelength of a sound wave can be defined as the distance between like points on two successive waves or the distance between two successive compression, travelling with a uniform velocity v, moves through a distance of one wavelength in the time period T,

What is Excitation force?

Excitation Force ;             Vibrating system, subjected to free vibration, continue to vibrate due to elastic properties and come to rest after some time due to energy dissipation by damping. In order to have continuous vibrations, external energy can be supplied to the system either through forces or imposed displacement that changes with time in magnitude and/or direction. This externally applied force/displacement is called external excitation or simply excitation force.

What is Damping ?

Damping                   An Oscillatory motion, which has been started by an initial disturbance, cannot continue indefinitely . The energy given to the system at the initial stage is dissipated during the motion . This resistance encountered by a body to the vibratory motion is called damping. The resistance may be applied by a liquid or solid, internally or externally.https://www.toprevenuegate.com/wimct8vhes?key=de91dcbd1afea544ebb4bf7c9018beaf
