What is memory and describe it's type?

Memory refers to the system that stores and retrieves information in a computer. There are two main types of computer memory:

1. **Primary Memory (RAM - Random Access Memory):** It is volatile memory used by the computer to store data that is actively being used or processed. RAM is fast but loses its contents when the power is turned off.

2. **Secondary Memory (Storage Devices - HDD, SSD, etc.):** This is non-volatile memory used for long-term storage of data. It retains information even when the power is off. Examples include hard disk drives (HDDs) and solid-state drives (SSDs).

These types of memory work together to enable the functioning of a computer system.
